Makes enough for 2 bottoms of of 9 inch pie crusts.
| 2 cups | flour |
| 1 cup | shortening |
| 1 1/2 tsp | salt |
| ice water |
Have all materials ice-cold. Sift flour and salt. Blend the shortening and butter into the flour, add enough ice water, very slowly, to hold dough together. Chill half and hour or more. Roll 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick and line pie plate.
